Common use of The Concessionaire to Restore Settlement and Damages Clause in Contracts

The Concessionaire to Restore Settlement and Damages. The Concessionaire shall at his own costs and charges make good promptly during the whole period the works are in hand, any settlement that may occur in the surfaces of roads, berms, footpaths, gardens, open spaces etc. whether public or private caused by his trenches or by his other excavations and he shall be liable for any accidents caused thereby. He shall also at his own expenses and charges repair and make good and damage done to buildings and otherproperty.
