Termination of Probationary Appointment. Probationary employees do not have property or vested rights to their position with the City. A probationary employee may be discharged or rejected at any time during the probationary period by the appointing power without cause and without right of appeal, unless discharge was for misconduct. In cases involving misconduct, the affected employee is entitled to a hearing to protect his/her liberty interests.
