Common use of TERMINAL LEAVE FOR DEFERRED PENSION Clause in Contracts

TERMINAL LEAVE FOR DEFERRED PENSION. Each regular, full-time, permanent Employee in full-pay status whose employment terminates after fifteen (15) years of creditable service in a regular, full-time, permanent employment as a "Sworn Uniform Police Officer", is eligible in all respects for a Deferred Pension benefit as defined by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, retires and is awarded a Deferred Pension, shall be entitled to two (2) days Terminal Leave for each year of creditable service with the Township's Police Department at the then current daily rate of pay.
