The researcher began by presenting a pre-test to both the experimental and control groups for two meetings. The researcher also taught students about recount text to the students during the six meetings. The researcher implemented a climbing grammar mountain game to teach writing to the students in the experimental group. During the practice, the experimental group used the climbing grammar mountain game from step C to step H. Meanwhile, the researchers do not give any special treatment to the control group. The researcher conducted a post-test on both groups for two meetings. Table 3.3 shows the stages in the learning process.
