Common use of TECHNICIAN TRAINING Clause in Contracts

TECHNICIAN TRAINING. Any new employee entering this bargaining unit shall be required to attend two years of training with the JATC in order to maintain a technician’s classification, unless the employee can show superior training and/or experience sufficient to demonstrate the ability to work in various aspects of the industry. Any technician who does not fulfill this obligation will be slotted into an appropriate level based upon his/her qualifications, which shall be ascertained by criteria mutually agreed to by the parties.
