Common use of Tea Breaks Clause in Contracts

Tea Breaks. (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10-minute tea break (in addition to meal breaks) in each four hours worked. (b) Where an employee requests and the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Jewish Hospital agrees, such intervals may alternatively be taken: (i) where the employee is entitled to 2 tea breaks, as one twenty-minute interval, or by one 10-minute interval with the employee allowed to proceed off duty 10 minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such interval(s) shall count as working time; or (ii) where the employee is entitled to one tea break the employee may, in place of taking the break, proceed off duty 10 minutes before the completion of the normal shift finishing time. Such interval shall count as working time.
