Common use of SWAT Team Clause in Contracts

SWAT Team. ‌ Hours of work and shifts for those positions assigned to the SWAT team as their primary duty may be established and adjusted as required to effectively respond to crime patterns and time. Such hours and shifts shall be scheduled for at least a week's duration. The SWAT team members so assigned will not be used to backfill Patrol. All other SWAT team members shall work their normal duties and shall bid for shifts and days off on the roster based upon position seniority. If they are required to work or train at times other than their scheduled shift, they shall be paid overtime at the appropriate overtime rate as set forth in Article VII, Section 2.
