Study Programs. The parties understand and agree that from time to time the Board enters into work study programs and other programs designed to further the technical education of students and give them employment experience and undertakes other educational programs which call for the employment of student helpers or other people involved in study programs. The above provisions of this Agreement are not intended to exclude such educational programs; however, the employment of persons under those programs shall not in any way be used to reduce the number of bargaining unit members of the Board, or be used to reduce the hours of bargaining unit members of the Board, or the hiring of full- time and/or part-time bargaining unit members.
Study Programs. The universities shall draw up and approve, by way of their respective academic bodies, the study programs, duly organized in semesters, modules, and credits (ECTS). The study programs shall concern the entire period of study, including the attainment of the final degree. The rules and regulations in force at the two partner universities are an integral part of this agreement. In consideration of the bi-national character of the education, the study programs may provide for specific teaching courses and internships in private companies and/or public entities, also in third countries. The exams and the duration of the study period shall be distributed in a balanced and reasonable way by the partner institutions, in conformity with the provisions of Art. 2 and with the limitations indicated in the didactic plans (Attachments 1 and 2).

Study Programs. It is recognized that several co-op work study programs in the schools are a valuable and necessary experience for the educational welfare of our students and that the hiring of these students in no way interferes or conflicts with the duties or privileges of employees. It is understood that the provisions of this Agreement do not apply to these temporary 'employees.
