Common use of Status of the Salary Schedule Clause in Contracts

Status of the Salary Schedule. The teacher's salary for a school year is part of a teacher's continuing contract. The salary schedule or rules contained herein relating to movement or placement on the salary schedule shall not deprive any teacher of the qualified salary already recognized and actually being paid. The salary schedules are not part of a teacher's continuing contract, and in the event a successor Agreement is not entered into prior to the expiration date of this Agreement, teachers shall be compensated according to the previous year's compensation until such time as a successor Agreement is executed. The School District may, for good and sufficient reasons, withhold increment advancement, lane changes, or any other salary increase in individual cases, only after the following procedures have been followed.
