The "Standard Week" clause defines what constitutes a typical workweek for the purposes of the agreement. It specifies the number of working days and hours that make up a standard week, often clarifying whether weekends or public holidays are included or excluded. Standard Week. Employees assigned to a standard week work period shall have a work week consisting of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday, followed by two (2) days off.

  • Standard Work Week (a) Except as provided below, the standard work week for Full-time Employees shall normally consist of 35 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7 hours. (b) The standard work week for certain Full-time Employees, including but not limited to, technical Employees, shall normally consist of 37.5 hours per week, which shall normally consist of 5 equal Shifts of 7.5 hours.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.
