STAND-BY WORK Clause Samples

The Stand-By Work clause defines the terms under which workers or contractors are required to remain available for work, even if active tasks are not immediately assigned. Typically, this clause outlines compensation for time spent waiting, the conditions under which stand-by status applies, and the expectations for response time if called to begin work. Its core function is to ensure that necessary personnel are readily accessible when needed, while also providing fair compensation for their availability, thereby minimizing project delays and clarifying obligations during periods of inactivity.
