Common use of Stage Clause in Contracts

Stage. The Grievance Committee, accompanied by the employee, may take up the matter in writing with the Chief who shall reply in writing, and failing settlement within forty-eight (48) hours: The Grievance Committee, accompanied by the employee, may take up the written matter with the City Manager or delegate who shall reply in writing, and failing settlement within forty-eight (48) hours: The Grievance Committee, accompanied by the employee, may take up the matter with Council, within fourteen (14) days following the decision in Stage at which time a written statement of the grievance and decision in the preceding stages of procedure shall be tabled within twenty-one (21) days.
