Split Shift. All unit members whose assigned shift contains one or more periods of unpaid time the total of which exceeds two (2) hours per day shall be paid a shift differential of three and one- half percent (3.5%) or a minimum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month, whichever is higher, effective upon ratification of this contract.
