Common use of Special Events Officer Clause in Contracts

Special Events Officer. During the delivery of special events, Article 14:01 shall not apply, rather, Employees in the classification of Special Events Officer will work seven (7) consecutive hours per day for five (5) days per pay week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch allotted therein making a thirty-five (35) hour work week. Article 14:03(3) (work on Saturday), Article 14:03(4) (work on Sunday), and Article 14:05 (Shift Differentials) shall not apply. Rather, the Special Events Officer shall receive a Sunday Shift Differential of TWO DOLLARS AND FORTY-THREE ($2.43) CENTS for Sunday regular hours of work. The Sunday Differential set out in this Article shall not apply when overtime or premium rates apply. It is understood that the incumbent will receive eleven (11) hours free from work in each day. Effective April 1st, 2017, the Sunday Shift Differential will increase by Three ($0.03) Cents to TWO DOLLARS AND FORTY-SIX CENTS ($2.46). Effective April 1st, 2018, the Sunday Shift Differential will increase by Four ($0.04) Cents to TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($2.50).

The Sunday Differential set out in this Article shall not apply when overtime or premium rates apply. It is understood that the incumbent will receive eleven (11) hours free from work in each day. Effective April 1st, 20172011, the Sunday Shift Differential will increase by Three Five ($0.030.05) Cents to TWO DOLLARS AND FORTYTWENTY-SIX FIVE CENTS ($2.462.25). Effective April 1st, 20182012, the Sunday Shift Differential will increase by Four Five ($0.040.05) Cents to TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY THIRTY CENTS ($2.502.30).
