Common use of Single Person Availability Clause in Contracts

Single Person Availability. An employee called in to assist another employee on the rostered single person availability arrangement may choose to be paid in accordance with: • the equivalent hours worked (or the minimum availability hours if applicable) plus the availability allowance for one day (e.g. 2 hours Monday to Friday plus 1 days availability allowance). Where this option is chosen the normal Availability minimum and rest periods arrangements will apply; or • the equivalent hours worked under call back conditions (e.g. minimum hours are four (4) hours Monday to Friday) and no availability allowance.
