Common use of Shift Rates Clause in Contracts

Shift Rates. ‌ a. When an employee of any job classification is assigned to work during the eight hours of the second shift, 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight, or the third shift, 12:00 midnight to 8:00 a.m., he/she shall receive a premium of seven (7%) percent. b. A premium of eighteen (18%) percent shall be added to the basic straight time rates for time worked on Sundays.
