SHIFT GIVEAWAY. 31.1 If an employee wishes to give away a shift to a co- worker in the same classification, with equal qualifica- tions, the employees involved must notify the Company in writing, on a form to be supplied, a minimum of forty- eight (48) hours prior to the shift, except in cases of emergency. Both employees must sign the form setting out when this will occur. 31.2 Approval of such requests will not be unreasonably ▇▇- ▇▇▇▇. No Full-time employee can give away more than two (2) shifts in the same pay period. No Part-time em- ployee can give away more than one (1) shift in the same pay period. The Company will post notice of the approval in the department and online as soon as prac- tical. Once the shift giveaway is approved, it will not be cancelled without good and sufficient reason. 31.3 The Company will not be responsible or liable for over- time rate claims that might arise or occur as a result of the exchange or giving away of shifts. Employees will not be allowed to work two (2) shifts on the same day as part of the exchange or giving away of shifts. 31.4 No employee shall accept or solicit any monetary or other type of gain as the result of a shift giveaway or shift switch. Any infraction of this Article will result in appropriate disciplinary action.
