Common use of Shift Exchanges Clause in Contracts

Shift Exchanges. ‌ Employees may exchange shifts with the prior approval of the Employer, provided that a minimum of three business days advance notice in writing is given and there is no increase in cost to the Employer. The Supervisor may approve shift exchanges with less than three days' notice. The maximum number of shift exchanges allowed will be at the discretion of management, but approval will not be unreasonably denied. Employees on a shift exchange will be paid at their regular rate for the hours worked and both employees involved in the exchange must complete and sign the Company designated shift exchange form.
