Sheriff. If the grievance is not resolved at Step 1 the grievant with the appropriate Union representative, if applicable, shall notify the Sheriff’s Office Human Resources Office by email to ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇@▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇ of its desire to process the grievance to Step 2 within seven (7) calendar days of the date the Chief Deputy or designee provided the response. The Sheriff or designee shall have ten (10) calendar days in which to schedule a meeting with the aggrieved employee and his or her representative, if applicable, unless the meeting is waived by mutual agreement. The Sheriff or designee shall provide the Union with a response in writing, within seven (7) calendar days following the meeting date. If the Sheriff or designee fails to provide a written response as required, the grievance may be advanced to the next Step by the Union within seven (7) calendar days of the date that the Step 2 answer was due.
