Common use of Selection of Securities for Redemption Clause in Contracts

Selection of Securities for Redemption. Whenever provision is made for the redemption of any Series of Securities or portion thereof and less than all of the Securities of such Series or portion thereof are called for redemption, the Trustee shall select the Securities to be redeemed, from the Outstanding Securities of such Series or portion thereof not previously called for redemption, in any manner which the Trustee deems fair and appropriate. For the purpose of any such selection, the Trustee shall assign a separate number for each $1,000 principal amount of each Security of a denomination of more than $1,000, except that if the Securities of any Series are denominated in a currency other than United States Dollars, the Trustee shall assign a separate number for each amount equal to the minimum denomination of each Security of such Series of a denomination greater than such minimum denomination.
