Section 16.1. 20 The term of this Agreement shall be September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2022.
Section 16.1. 37 The District will make every effort to comply with applicable safety codes as set forth in Federal or 38 State law, and the employees will cooperate in the use of all safety devices. A maximum of one (1) 39 hour will be provided to transportation personnel when necessary to clean up from substances such as 40 diesel fuel, bodily fluids, etc. Employees will cooperate with the District in the maintenance of a 41 generally well kept area, and equipment. The District will discontinue the practice of having regular 42 drivers participate in the transportation department safety committee which reviews and makes 43 recommendation for or against their peers. 45 Employees who submit a bus incident report informing the District of any act of physical violence 46 against a driver or transportation assistant shall meet with the District within three (3) working day of 47 the incident (or as soon as the driver or transportation assistant is physically able to meet). The District 48 will provide a written plan of help with the said student for the transportation employee’s safety.
Section 16.1. 33 Employees shall be compensated in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement for all hours 34 worked, as approved by the supervisor. Each employee shall receive a full accounting and itemization of 35 authorized deductions, hours worked, and rates paid with each paycheck. All employees (regular, full- 36 time employees and regular, part-time employees) shall receive twelve (12) pay checks – September 37 through August. Overtime, extra time, and leave without pay shall be adjusted monthly.
Section 16.1. 34 When an employee leaves a school district within the State and commences employment with this 35 District, the employee shall retain the same leave benefits and other benefits the employee had in the 36 previous position. Seniority rights shall not be transferred in any manner whatsoever. Longevity (years 37 of employment in a position) is considered an "other benefit" and will be transferred (for example, 38 placement on vacation schedule, salary schedule). 39
Section 16.1. 12 Grievance or complaints arising between the District and its employees within the bargaining unit 13 defined in Article I herein, with respect to matters dealing with the interpretation or application of the 14 Terms and Conditions of this Agreement, shall be resolved in strict compliance with this Article.

Section 16.1. 35 The purpose of this procedure is to provide for an orderly method of resolving grievances or complaints 36 arising between the District and its employees within the bargaining unit defined in Article I herein with 37 respect to matters dealing with the interpretation or application of the terms and conditions of this 38 Agreement shall be resolved in strict compliance with this Article. Time limits under unusual 39 circumstances may be extended by mutual consent. Employees have the right to Association 40 representation at all times during this procedure. Employees have the right to forego Association 41 representation in this procedure and at any time during the process may choose to withdraw their 42 grievance.
