Scheduled overtime work. Scheduled overtime work will be offered to seniority employees prior to all other employees on the same shift except in those instances where seniority employees are not readily available. Readily available is defined as the employee not being on a leave status and is present at work or at home when called at the time the overtime work is being scheduled and is in the division in which the overtime will be worked. When limited duration employees are used as part of a crew involved in a specific work task, they will be allowed to work the overtime that is involved with that specific work task.
Scheduled overtime work. The County shall have the right to schedule and assign 9 overtime work. Overtime work will be divided and rotated as equally as possible amongst those 10 employees that desire overtime work. Employees will indicate their availability for overtime work by 11 placing their names on the overtime roster which will be posted in the workplace at all times. The 12 posting of the overtime roster and rotation of the overtime will be the responsibility of the bargaining 13 unit.
Scheduled overtime work. Scheduled overtime shall be defined as overtime with at least sixteen (16) hours of advance notice to the employee before the overtime will begin, except when an employee is notified of a shift extension request prior to leaving work. Scheduled overtime work will be offered to seniority employees prior to all other employees on the same shift except in those instances where seniority employees are not readily available. Readily available is defined as the employee not being on a leave status and is present at work or at home when called at the time the overtime work is being scheduled and is in the division in which the overtime will be worked. When limited duration employees are used as part of a crew involved in a specific work task, they will be allowed to work the overtime that is involved with that specific work task. A minimum shift for scheduled overtime shall be four (4) hours, unless the scheduled overtime is immediately before or after a regularly scheduled daily shift. When employees report for management approved scheduled overtime and are told not to start work, the employee shall receive four (4) hours of applicable overtime pay.
Scheduled overtime work. The Employer may schedule overtime work, when required, with a minimum of three (3) days notice to the affected employee, in accordance with the following provisions:  (1) The opportunity to work any overtime hours shall be offered to employees consistent with the provisions of Section 5.2.2(b), Equitable Distribution of Overtime Work. An employee may decline overtime work opportunities at this point.  (2) If scheduled overtime work is not accepted, then the Employer may assign work; such assignment to be made in reverse seniority order from those employees eligible by classification to work the proposed “scheduled overtime work.”  (3) If the employee suffers expenses as the result of cancellation of previously-arranged plans as a result of the Employer’s assignment, the Employer shall reimburse the employee for all costs associated with the cancellation; or at the Employer’s option, the scheduled overtime work may be assigned to the next least-senior employee.   (4) The provisions in Section 5.2.2(f), Call-Out Pay, and Section 5.1.3(c), Meals during Overtime Work, shall not apply to scheduled overtime work. Employee meals will be taken in the same manner as a normal work period.  (5) If proper notice of at least three (3) days is not provided to affected employees, the scheduled overtime work will be worked in the same manner as a call-out and will be compensated at the applicable overtime rate.  (6) The minimum time for scheduled overtime work will be one (1) hour.  (7) Other provisions of this Agreement not specifically referenced in this Section shall continue to apply to scheduled overtime work.
