A Safety Commitment clause establishes the obligation of parties to prioritize and maintain safe practices throughout the duration of an agreement or project. It typically requires adherence to relevant safety laws, regulations, and industry standards, and may mandate the implementation of specific safety protocols, training, or reporting procedures. The core function of this clause is to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries, ensuring a safe environment for all involved and reducing potential liability for the parties.
Safety Commitment. The Parties will comply with all the obligations arising under the prevailing and relevant WHS Act, and regulations, and Code of Practice made under it, and the Company's policies and procedures. All Employee(s) are required to contribute positively to Project safety, including raising concerns regarding safety with the Company. The Parties are committed to ensuring that WHS issues are managed and approached in a genuine way. For clarity, WHS issues will be dealt with separately from disputes and grievances related to industrial and related matters (which are dealt with under clause 3.12 of this Agreement).
Safety Commitment. Seller will adhere to all applicable guidance from regulatory authorities with regards to the safety of its Products. If Boeing notifies Seller of a potential safety risk that Boeing reasonably determines is associated with Seller’s Products, Seller will promptly respond to Boeing’s concern and participate in any corresponding investigation. The Parties will work to remedy the safety risk pursuant to the terms of the Agreement. The Parties agree that the FAA’s issuance of a Planned Airworthiness Directive Identification Number is accepted as confirmation of a safety risk.” .
Safety Commitment a) The Parties will comply with all the obligations arising under the prevailing and relevant Acts, Regulations, Code of Practice and the Employer’s policies and procedures.
b) The Employer has a legal obligation to exercise due diligence to ensure that the business complies with all Workplace Health and Safety laws and regulations. This includes making sure that the business has and uses appropriate resources and processes to eliminate or minimise the risks of working with silica and silica containing products and other airborne toxic substances.
c) All Employees are required to contribute positively to Project safety, including raising concerns regarding safety with the Employer.
d) No Employee will be required to work in any unsafe area or situation. An employee or employees may cease, or refuse to carry out, work if they have a reasonable concern that to carry out the work would expose them to a serious risk to their health or safety, emanating from an immediate or imminent exposure to a hazard.
Safety Commitment. The Company and the Union regard Health and Safety as a vital mechanism in the overall success of the Goderich, Compass Minerals Evaporator Plant. The Ontario Health and Safety Legislation combined with our site specific protocols developed by our Joint Health and Safety Committee are tools that we encourage all employees to use in an effort to ensure the Health and Safety of all employees at this Goderich facility. Accordingly, participation in all safety programs is required. The Company commits to providing the time necessary to participate and or respond to safety matters.
Safety Commitment. Our primary objective is to support and encourage safe rail operations across our entire organisation. BRC shall implement processes to identify competency requirements to ensure all rail safety workers have the knowledge and skills required to complete their work safely. All employees are committed to achieving an injury free and healthy workplace by fostering an environment where everyone is committed to working safely and to the safety of their work colleagues. Safety will not be compromised by productivity requirements. Continuous improvement of safety performance, through the development and maintenance of a strong safety culture is key priority in all aspects of our business activities.
Safety Commitment a) The parties are committed to ensuring a safe workplace and to making this Project a benchmark in terms of OSH outcomes;
b) The parties recognise the unique nature of this Project and the challenges it presents, and therefore agree to work together to ensure that the Project is safe;
c) The parties and Employees are also committed to safe working procedures. The parties and Employees shall comply with all the obligations arising under the relevant legislation, standards and codes of practices as varied from time to time. Each manager, supervisor and Employee shall be responsible for ensuring that their immediate area of work is maintained to the standards of safety required by the Project Site. All Employees are encouraged to contribute positively to Project safety, including raising concerns regarding safety with UGI;
d) The parties are committed to ensuring that OSH issues are managed and approached in a genuine way, and not used to support other agendas;
e) The parties recognise that UGI will develop and implement a number of procedures and requirements for the Project. For example, these may include Project OSH Rules, Safe Work Method Statements and OSH Management Plans. UGI and Employees on the Project will have responsibilities under these procedures and requirements;
f) UGI will communicate the obligations of such procedures and requirements to their Employees;
g) All Employees will adhere to the obligations of these procedures and requirements; and
h) If the Project Manager or the Safety Committee is of the opinion that an Employee has committed a serious breach of the relevant safety management plan (or any other safe working procedures), the Project Manager will aim to resolve the issue. This may include the implementation of counselling or disciplinary action consistent with clause 15 in this Agreement.
Safety Commitment. (a) The parties are committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace and to making this Project a benchmark in terms of OHS outcomes;
(b) The parties recognise the unique nature of this project and the challenges it presents, and therefore agree to work together to ensure that the Project is safe. In particular, the parties recognise the increased risk to health and safety that is associated with a significant amount of construction activities occurring on an operational freeway and associated network of main arterial roads. TJH will manage these risks in accordance with its safety management system
(c) The parties and Employees are also committed to safe working procedures, the OHS Act and to the Project Occupational Health and Safety Policy. The parties and Employees shall comply with all the obligations arising under the relevant legislation. Each manager and Employee shall be responsible for ensuring that their immediate area of work is maintained to the standards of safety required by the site. All Employees are encouraged to contribute positively to project safety, including raising concerns regarding safety with TJH;
(d) The parties and Employees are committed to ensuring that OHS issues are managed and approached in a genuine way.

An employee or employees may cease, or refuse to carry out work if they have reasonable concern that to carry out the work would expose them to a serious risk to their health or safety, emanating from an immediate or imminent exposure to a hazard. Health and Safety policies and procedures are not incorporated in this Agreement and can be amended by the Employer as required, for example in the event of the WHS Act 2011 and regulations being replaced or amended.
