Common use of RFVs Clause in Contracts

RFVs. The contractor may request to temporarily depart from a requirement specified in the TDP or any other baseline documentation, by submitting an RFV. RFVs may be submitted either pre-production (formerly known as Request for Deviation (RFD)) or postproduction and prior to acceptance by the Government (formerly known as Request for Waiver (RFW)). DD Form 1694 (or equivalent) shall be submitted for all RFVs.
