Xxxxxxxxxxx Empire Xxxxx Xxxxx, Xxxxxx, Xxx Xxxx 00000, pursuant to authority granted under New York State Finance Law §163, and SVAM INTERNATIONAL, INC. (hereinafter “Contractor”), with its principal place of business at 000 Xxxx Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxx 000, Xxxxx Xxxx, XX 00000. The foregoing are collectively referred to as the “Parties.”
Cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection 1. The aims of cooperation on forestry matters and environmental protection will be, but not limited to, as follows: (a) establishing bilateral cooperation relations in the forestry sector; (b) developing a training program and studies for sustainable management of forests; (c) improving the rehabilitation and sustainable management of forest with the aim of increasing carbon sinks and reduce the impact of climate change in the Asia-Pacific region; (d) cooperating on the execution of national projects, aimed at: improving the management of forest plantations for its transformation for industrial purposes and environmental protection; (e) elaborating studies on sustainable use of timber; (f) developing new technologies for the transformation and processing of timber and non-timber species; and (g) improving cooperation in agro-forestry technologies. 2. To achieve the objectives of the Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties may focus, as a means of cooperation and negotiations on concluding a bilateral agreement on forestry cooperation between the two Parties. Such collaboration will be as follows: (a) exchanges on science and technology as well as policies and laws relating the sustainable use of forest resources; (b) cooperation in training programs, internships, exchange of experts and projects advisory; (c) advice and technical assistance to public institutions and organizations of the Parties on sustainable use of forest resources and environmental protection; (d) facilitating forest policy dialogue and technical cooperation under the Network of Sustainable Forest Management and Forest Rehabilitation in Asia- Pacific Region, initiated at the 15th Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Meeting; (e) encouraging joint studies, working visits, exchange of experiences, among others; and (f) others activities mutually agreed.
Responsibilities of the District 12.1. The District shall examine the documents submitted by the Architect and shall render decisions so as to avoid unreasonable delay in the process of the Architect’s Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY City or its representative shall issue all communications to Contractor. City has the authority to request changes in the work in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and with the terms in Exhibit A – Scope of Work. City has the authority to stop work or to suspend any work.
Department Responsibilities The use of sick leave may properly be denied if these procedures are not followed. Abuse of sick leave on the part of the employee is cause for disciplinary action. Departmental approval of sick leave is a certification of the legitimacy of the sick leave claim. The department head or designee may make reasonable inquiries about employee absences. The department may require medical verification for an absence of three (3) or more working days. The department may also require medical verification for absences of less than three (3) working days for probable cause if the employee had been notified in advance in writing that such verification was necessary. Responsibilities of the City The City’s Contract Manager will be responsible for exercising general oversight of the Contractor’s activities in completing the Scope of Work. Specifically, the Contract Manager will represent the City’s interests in resolving day-to-day issues that may arise during the term of this Contract, shall participate regularly in conference calls or meetings for status reporting, shall promptly review any written reports submitted by the Contractor, and shall approve all invoices for payment, as appropriate. The City’s Contract Manager shall give the Contractor timely feedback on the acceptability of progress and task reports.
Districts Responsibilities 1. The DISTRICT shall provide to the ARCHITECT information regarding requirements for the PROJECT, including information regarding the DISTRICT’s objectives, schedule, and budget constraints, as well as any other criteria provided by the DISTRICT.
