Rescheduling Vacation Clause Samples

Rescheduling Vacation. Subject to Management approval, any employee shall be permitted to re-schedule his/her vacation if it does not interfere with vacations already scheduled by other employees. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied.
Rescheduling Vacation. Vacations will be rescheduled during the vacation year as follows: (a) Scheduled vacations will be approved four (4) weeks before the scheduled vacation dates and will not be subject to the rescheduling process in this section except when necessary due to production requirements or a bona fide emergency situation affecting employees and their availability for work. Shift changes will not be made solely for the purpose of permitting an employee to take his vacation during a preferred vacation date. Unscheduled vacations do not compete with scheduled vacations. (b) An employee transferring to a vacation (overtime) project may displace lower senior employees in that project to obtain preferred scheduled vacation slots. Affected employees will have the same rights.
Rescheduling Vacation. Any employee who is requested to work days that were previously scheduled for vacation by his supervisor will be permitted to reschedule affected days to a later date. The Superintendent may allow the employee to reschedule additional vacation days that were interrupted. Alternately, if an employee is unable to reschedule vacation days that were interrupted, the employee may convert to cash the vacation days interrupted.
Rescheduling Vacation. Once vacations are scheduled and approved, they may not be changed, except by mutual agreement between the supervisor and the affected unit member.
Rescheduling Vacation. (a) If an employee is permanently transferred, assigned, or reassigned to a different administrative work group covered under this Agreement as a result of a Company initiated transfer, assignment or reassignment, then to the extent that needs of the business permit, the employee will retain the vacation schedule that was approved in the prior administrative work group. (b) If an employee initiates a transfer, he or she is required to re-select his or her vacation from those days available within the new administrative work group. (c) Employees who transfer from another AT&T Company or Business Unit, not covered by the Agreement, shall be entitled to vacation in the current calendar year under the provision of Paragraph 1 as if they had been employees covered by this Agreement. However, any such vacation entitlement shall be reduced by the amount of vacation used, or payment in lieu of vacation the employee received in the current calendar year, while employed in the former AT&T Company or Business Unit. (d) Subject to the needs of the business and force requirements, employees may reschedule any of their vacation to available vacation periods, but may not preempt the period selected by any other employee. Such notice of a schedule change request must be presented to Management at least thirty (30) days prior to the originally scheduled vacation.
(c) Should the Company increase the number of scheduled vacation slots for one (1) or more weeks within a vacation (overtime) project or should vacant vacation slots become available for any reason, the slots will first be available to employees by seniority with scheduled vacation under Section 14.9 for a period of fifteen (15) days. An employee returning from TDY who did not take scheduled vacation while on TDY will compete for vacant slots under this section. After fifteen (15) days, the slots may be claimed by employees with reserved vacation under Section 14.11. Once claimed, it will be treated as scheduled vacation. Among employees with reserved vacation claiming available slots, longer vacations will receive preference over shorter vacations; vacation requests of equal length will be assigned to the most senior employee by classification and overtime project.
Rescheduling Vacation. Rescheduling vacation will be permitted only after the second selection period has been completed and meets the following conditions: 1. Request for rescheduling vacations shall be submitted using the appropriate Department form. 2. A member may reschedule two or more consecutive shifts, provided that in rescheduling, the shifts are taken consecutively and not one at a time. 3. To reschedule one shift or less, the shift will first have to be relinquished and then rescheduled following the requirements of subsections R(2) and S(2) of this Section of this MOU. 4. Days that were scheduled and not used shall be offered to those members, by seniority, who have not scheduled at least three consecutive shifts for vacation during prime time. 5. Request for rescheduling should be made as far in advance as possible, in order to allow as much lead time as possible for others to plan and schedule vacation time that was relinquished.
