Request Procedures. A. Employees desiring to accept or undertake outside employment, or to engage in or be associated with a business enterprise, shall obtain prior approval of the Employer by forwarding a request on CBP Form 3031, Request to Engage in Outside Employment or Business Activities. Provided the Form 3031 contains sufficient and complete information for the Employer to make a decision, the Employer will act on the request as soon as reasonably possible, but in no case later than fifteen (15) working days after receipt of the Form 3031. B. In the event the employee has not received a response on his or her request to engage in outside employment or activity, the employee will contact the Employer to inquire as to the status of the request and the Employer will issue a final decision within ten (10) working days.
