Common use of REPORTING ALLOWANCE Clause in Contracts

REPORTING ALLOWANCE. 18.01 Employees who report for work when they have not been notified at least four (4) hours in advance not to do so, and for whom regular work is not available, shall be provided with four (4) hours' work or four (4) hours' pay in lieu thereof at their regular hourly rate of pay. Any employee so affected shall take such temporary work as is available in order to qualify for his four (4) hours' pay. This provision shall not apply if the failure to provide work is caused by any reason beyond the control of the Company.
