Relation to the work programme Sample Clauses

Relation to the work programme. The IDEAAL Project addresses the topic INFRADEV-03-2016-2017: “Individual support to ESFRI and other world-class research infrastructures” of the Work Programme 2016-2017 4. European Research Infrastructures (including e-Infrastructures). The IDEAAL Project aims to support the implementation and long-term sustainability of the ESFRI infrastructure SPIRAL2, within GANIL, that will start operation in the coming few years for its Phase 1. SPIRAL2 brings a new dimension to its host infrastructure GANIL, requiring the development of stronger partnerships, the optimisation of access to the infrastructure, and the enhancement of innovation and outreach policies. Being part of GANIL, SPIRAL2 shares its existing legal status that will be the basis to build a new consortium for GANIL, of scientific members, institutional funders and private sponsors, and to provide new possibilities to users, academics and industries, in terms of support, information and involvement in the infrastructure. The new and strong international consortium should allow for a sustainable operation of the facility and for the construction of the next phases of the SPIRAL2 project.

Relation to the work programme. The proposal relates to the topic H2020-Adhoc-2014-20 – “Establishing service Enhancing the innovation management capacity of SMEs in the Enterprise Europe Network” in the work programme LEIT – Innovation in SMEs.
Relation to the work programme. The EQUAL4EUROPE project addresses the “Science with and for Society” work program and more specifically topic SwafS-09-2018-2019 “Supporting research organisations to implement gender equality plans”. The focus of this topic is on implementing Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) in research organisations and universities, as "drivers" for systemic institutional changes. The EQUAL4EUROPE consortium includes 6 AHMSSBL institutions that have already implemented a variety of fragmented activities, but that also recognize that individual actions are not sufficient to really advance GE in their institute. Achieving systemic institutional change requires structural awareness, a coherent GE strategy, and that an integral set of measures be implemented to focus on:
Relation to the work programme. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), some types of extreme events (e.g. flash floods and related landslides, storm surges, heatwaves, fires, including vegetation fires) have increased in frequency or magnitude, and in the meantime populations and assets at risk have also increased, leading to greater disaster risks ANYWHERE aims at improving preparedness and the capacity of response in front of the hazards triggered by high-impact end extreme W&C events addressing the challenge of managing their associated risks in a context of increasing number of extreme W&C events. To this end the project will implement at European scale a Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MH-EWS, developed in WP3) in which the best available meteorological forecasts will be translated into hazard impacts forecasts. The following hazards are addressed: Floods and flash floods, debris flows and landslides, storm surges, heatwaves and weather induced health emergencies, weather-induced fires, droughts, convective storms, severe winds and heavy snowfall. Each one of them being covered by a dedicated task in WP2. The system will be oriented to support decision making during W&C induced emergencies, and will be designed to suit the needs of the authorities and bodies responsible for managing response operations during such situations. This MH-EWS will be combined with a highly customizable novel ANYWHERE platform for Decision support in Emergency Management Operation Services (A4EU) that will "bridge" the MH-EWS products with the local systems and needs of the emergency management authorities, to provide for improved high-resolution impact forecastings and enhance the response capacities (WP4). In order to better forecast and manage the immediate consequences of weather- and climate-related disasters, in particular regarding emergency responses, improved measures and technologies are needed ANYWHERE will integrate the best available W&C forecasts with the best existing state-of-the-art models and algorithms to translate them into forecast of their associated impacts (WP2), combining them with existing Pan-European platforms to build an operational Multi-Hazard Early Warning System (MH-EWS, in WP3) that will lead to the first weather-induced Multi-Hazard operational system in Europe (see section 1.4.3). This MH-EWS system will be able to extend the anticipation of impacts and deliver it to the decision-makers and first responders through the A4EU platform implem...
Relation to the work programme. Indicate the work programme topic to which your proposal relates, and explain providing sufficient details, how your proposal addresses the specific challenge and scope of that topic, as set out in the work programme, both in the long term (FPA) and in the first year action (CSA)
Relation to the work programme. BlueBio pursues the aims of the Blue Bioeconomy topic BG-02-2018 in the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020. EU intervention is needed to create the conditions to mobilise investments by aligning national and regional innovation research agendas across different Blue Bioeconomy sectors. This is precisely what BlueBio aims to achieve. BlueBio will specifically create synergies between sectors and leverage adequate investments in the Blue Bioeconomy. The BlueBio consortium brings together 24 funding agencies from countries and regions in Europe, thus aligning the efforts of the different Member States. Together, the partners are aimed at funding research, development and innovation that will enhance the contribution of aquatic bioresources, blue biotechnology, land-based bioeconomy as well as new and unborn bioeconomy, to cover the whole range of expectations expressed in the call text. BlueBio also builds upon the networks, achievements and strategies obtained in the COFASP, ERA-MBT, ERA- NETs and JPI Oceans. Based on a need- gap analyses drawing on strategies, case studies, roadmaps and foresights within the scope of each network, partners in the consortium have elaborated the scope of the co-funded call. This has led to a broad, yet relevant scope, of potential topics, focused on the need to develop both new and traditional value chains. The Consortium will implement trans-national joint calls for projects to support innovation and research activities devoted to developing the Blue Bioeconomy, addressing innovative, sustainable and climate-friendly solutions to produce, harvest and exploit aquatic biomass from different trophic levels for use in food and other value chains. Emphasis will be placed on the creation of pre-commercial outputs aimed at accelerating commercialisation and competitive deployment. Technology Readiness levels (TRLs) will vary among the projects, considering the national/regional programmes funding opportunities, and the gaps being addressed. It is expected that most activities will take place between TRLs 2 to 6, acknowledging the expectations to create, test, upscale and bring to the market new knowledge-intensive products and services derived from aquatic biomass. Industry participations will be sought in all projects to contribute to a concrete and feasible business perspective. Efficient and targeted communication and dissemination of the outcome of the project is a must. This includes activities that inform all stakeholders ...
