Common use of Regular Work Period Clause in Contracts

Regular Work Period. The regular work period shall consist of rotating shifts during the 12:00 midnight Sunday through 12:00 midnight the following Saturday pay period. The shifts shall run as follows: Day Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Late Shift 5:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. Night Shift 10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. The temporary or permanent structure of the shifts may be changed at the discretion of the Chief with two weeks’ notice to affected Officers. The Union will be given notice of the change and an opportunity to bargain regarding the effects of the change. At an employee's request, temporary schedule changes may be approved by the Chief or his/her designee.
