Common use of Regular Education in Secondary Schools Clause in Contracts

Regular Education in Secondary Schools. Mutually agreeable Added Duty Assignments may be issued to bargaining unit members for teaching a sixth (6th) period assignment. Compensation shall be at the teacher’s regular rate of pay, prorated. There shall be no more than four (4) such assignments at each secondary school. An exception to this limit may be made during the school year, in consultation with the Union, when a need occurs or when a new qualified teacher cannot be hired.
