Refilling. After the pipes or other work has been laid and proved to be water light, the trench or other excavations shall be refilled. Utmost care shall be taken in doing this, so that no damage shall be caused to sewer site and other permanent work. The filling in the hunches and upto 75 cm above the crown of the sewer shall consist of the finest selected materials placed carefully in 15 cm layers and flooded and consolidated. After this has been laid, the trench and other excavation shall be refilled carefully in 15 cm layers with materials taken from the excavation, each layer being watered to assist in the consolidation unless the Independent Engineer shall otherwise direct.
Refilling. Only after the sewers and other related work has been laid, installed and proven after testing to be water tight, the trench and other excavations shall be refilled. Utmost care shall be taken in doing this, so that no damage shall be caused to the sewer and other permanent works. The filling in the trenches up to 75cms above the crown of the sewer and other lines shall consists of the finest selected sand and related materials placed carefully in 15cms layers and flooded to consolidation. After this layer has been laid the trench and other excavation shall be refilled carefully in 15cms layers with materials taken from the excavation, each layer being compacted to assist in the consolidation unless the Engineer shall otherwise direct.
Refilling. Refilling the trenches shall start in the section of sewer line after the section is cured, tested and approved by the Consulting Engineer/Architect or their representatives. The backfilling material shall be free from cinders, ashes, slag, refuge, rubbish, vegetable or organic material, lumps boulders, rock or stone fragments which are min the opinion of the Consulting Engineer/Architect deleterious. Backfilling up to 300 mm ( 12 inches approximately) on the top of the pipe shall be done by placing the excavated stuff or any other material, approved by the Consulting Engineer/Architect, in case the excavated stuff is not suitable in their opinion. It shall be laid in layers of 200 mm and shall be compacted by tamping in such a manner as to avoid any damage to sewer, fittings and appurtenances. Refilling with black cotton soil shall be avoided in this zone. The layer shall be compacted well to give dense soil around the pipe. The remaining portion shall be filled with excavated material or any other material approved by the Consulting Engineer/Architect, if the excavated material is not suitable in their opinion for refilling.
Refilling credit: Liquefied petroleum gas, when sold by refilling of a container or an exchange of containers (the vendor shall give the purchaser full credit for the unused liquid remaining in a container being exchanged or refilled). Exempt from this requirement are all lift truck motor fuel cylinders, one-hundred-pound cylinders used for construction purposes, and any cylinders less than forty pounds that are exchanged rather than refilled when the purchaser is notified that no refilling credit will be given. This notification shall be accomplished by way of an appropriate sign or written agreement.

  • Blasting Blasting shall be permitted only for road construction purposes unless advance permission is obtained from Forest Service. Whenever the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is II or greater, a fire security person equipped with a long handled round point No. 0 or larger shovel and a 5 gallon backpack pump can filled with water, will stay at location of blast for 1 hour after blasting is done. Blasting may be suspended by Forest Service, in areas of high rate of spread and resistance to control. Fuses shall not be used for blasting. Explosive cords shall not be used without permission of Forest Service, which may specify conditions under which such explosives may be used and precautions to be taken.

  • Rostering 8.1 This clause 8 shall only apply in respect to Employers listed in Schedule 5 – Legal Entities and Schools Covered by this Agreement, who engage Teachers to work for 48 weeks or more per year in an Early Childhood Service. 8.2 Rostering arrangements will not occur that would otherwise entitle employees to shift penalties under the Award. 8.3 Employees will not be rostered to regularly work outside the Award span of hours. 8.4 Employees will not be regularly required to work overtime.   • Dewatering (a) Where the whole of a site is so affected by surface water following a period of rain that all productive work is suspended by agreement of the Parties, then dewatering shall proceed as above with Employees so engaged being paid at penalty rates as is the case for safety rectification work. This work is typically performed by Employees engaged within CW1, CW2 or CW3 classifications. When other Employees are undertaking productive work in an area or areas not so affected then dewatering will only attract single time rates. (b) Where a part of a site is affected by surface water following a period of rain, thus rendering some areas unsafe for productive work, consistent with the Employer’s obligations under the OH&S Act, appropriate Employees shall assist in the tidying up of their own work site or area if it is so affected. Where required, appropriate Employees will be provided with the appropriate PPE. Such work to be paid at single time rates. Productive work will continue in areas not so affected. (c) To avoid any confusion any ‘dewatering’ time which prevents an Employee from being engaged in their normal productive work is not included in any calculation for the purposes of determining whether an Employee is entitled to go home due to wet weather (refer clauses 32.4 and 32.5)

  • Containers An extra charge will be made for returnable containers and special shipping devices (such as oil barrels, reels, tarpaulins, commutator clamps, etc.) where they are consigned to the Purchaser, but refund will be made if returned in good condition to the factory, or other points designated by EXION, within ninety (90) days from the date of original shipment, charges prepaid.

  • Crane Erection & Jumping (a) Cranes and man/material hoists may be erected, altered, climbed and dismantled during times when ordinary production works are in progress subject to the work being done in full compliance with a relevant operational safety zone (OSZ) plan which has been developed specifically for that operation with consideration to overall site safety. (b) The crane crew for each tower crane (Crane Crew) must consist of the following: (i) crane driver; and (ii) three (3) dogmen. (c) In addition to the appropriate tickets held by the crane driver and the dogmen, the following high risk licences must be held amongst the Crane Crew: (i) rigging; and (ii) material handling. (d) Where a Project consists of a single Crane Crew, the Employer should endeavour to ensure another member of the Crane Crew holds a crane driver licence.
