Common use of Recognition of Union Representation Clause in Contracts

Recognition of Union Representation. At a meeting at any Complaint or Grievance Step of the grievance procedure, subject to Article 18.3.1 the employee may be represented by a Union Xxxxxxx if the employee desires such assistance; at Step 2 a Union Staff Representative may be present at the request of either the College or the Union. It is recognized that at some Colleges and/or Campuses there may be occasions when no Stewards have been elected or selected. In such a case, Colleges are prepared to recognize the attendance of a Local Union Officer in place of the Xxxxxxx at meetings referred to in this Agreement.
