Reasonable And Suspicion Defined. A. Reasonable suspicion must be based on both objective evidence and reasonable inference from such evidence that an employee's impaired performance is the result of use of drugs or alcohol. Such evidence must include observations by a trained supervisor or manager of typical indicators of intoxication or impairment caused by drugs or alcohol which are not reasonably explained as resulting from causes other than the use of drugs or alcohol.
