Proximal Remote Interpreting. The remote interpreting provided for in paragraph 14-3 a) of the Agreement shall give rise to shorter sessions as laid down in paragraphs 6.2 1) and 2) above or, failing that, a 10% increase in the remuneration of the interpreters concerned. These provisions do not apply to cases covered by the exchange of letters signed by ESA and AIIC on 21 May and 11 September 2019, or any other similar cases.

  • Headings; Interpretation All headings are for reference purposes only and do not affect the interpretation of this Agreement.   • Jury Duty/Court Appearance a) To qualify for approval from the College to be absent with pay when summoned to serve on a jury, when subpoenaed as a witness in a criminal proceeding or as a witness in a civil action if not a party thereto, or when appearing as a defendant in a criminal or traffic case if acquitted therefrom, a regular or term employee shall produce the summons or subpoena or submit such other evidence showing the necessity for the absence.

  • Appearance in Court When an employee is required by the Employer to appear in any court or before any attorney for the purpose of testifying because of any accident he/she may have been involved in during working hours, the employee shall be reimbursed in full by the Employer for all time spent or hours of work lost, computed at his/her current hourly rate of pay, whichever is greater, because of his/her appearance.

  • Definitions Interpretation 1.1. As used in this Agreement, the following terms have the following meanings:

  • Cooperative Drafting This Agreement has been drafted through a cooperative effort of City and Contractor, and both Parties have had an opportunity to have the Agreement reviewed and revised by legal counsel.   • Court Duty Section 1. After due notice to the EMPLOYER, employees subpoenaed to serve as a witness in cases arising from or during the performance of their official duties, or called and selected for jury duty, shall be allowed their regular compensation at their current base pay rate for the period the court duty requires their absence from work duty, plus any expenses paid by the court. Such employees, so compensated, shall not be eligible to retain jury duty pay or witness fees and shall turn any such pay or fees received over to the EMPLOYER. If an employee is excused from jury duty prior to the end of his/her work shift, he/she shall return to work as directed by the EMPLOYER or make arrangement for a leave of absence.

  • Headings and Interpretation Headings and sub-headings in this Agreement are inserted for reference and convenience only and shall not be deemed part of this Agreement. Wherever the fulfillment of the intent and purpose of this Agreement requires and the context will permit, the use of the masculine gender includes the feminine and use of the singular includes the plural.
