If a student completes the above AAT degree with the recommended coursework, they will have completed 18 of the 21 hours in the Social and Behavioral Sciences concentration. **Competency in reading music is a prerequisite to the Music Methods course (TDP 4250) and Phase II. If a student has not attained competence in reading musical notation demonstrated by passing a proficiency skills test, it is required that they enroll and be successful in a one to four hour applied music course from prior to completion of the AAT degree and matriculation to MU.
