Common use of Professional Work Experience/Expertise Clause in Contracts

Professional Work Experience/Expertise. An unpaid leave of absence of up to twelve (12) months may be granted to a bargaining unit employee with five (5) or more years of consecutive full-time or part-time service, upon proof of employment in a health care related position to gain additional professional expertise. Only one (1) leave of up to twelve (12) months is permitted every five (5) years.
