Common use of Professional Development Stipends Clause in Contracts

Professional Development Stipends. Stipends/Compensation will be paid for Professional Development Preparation and/or Delivery as follows: 1. The Professional Development Program will include but not be limited to: a. Graduate courses for in-house credit toward the salary scale and/or Graduate School credit b. Workshops for Professional Development points c. Professional Day Presentations/Programs d. Non-credit/non-PDP workshops 2. Criteria for the above stated programs are: a. Graduate Courses 1) University credit – as defined by the graduate school 2) In-house credit to salary scale 1 graduate credit = 10 hours contact time and assignment and project(s) Additional credits must meet the above definition per credit. b. Workshops for PDPs will be minimum of ten hours total (not necessarily consecutive hours) subject to possible revisions by State Department of Education.
