Common use of PREVENTIVE MEDICINE PROGRAM Clause in Contracts

PREVENTIVE MEDICINE PROGRAM. 1. The Department of Health will provide for and effectively implement a preventive medicine program with primary emphasis on public health education which will include, but will not be limited to, guidance on lifestyles, AIDS, drug abuse, cancer and mother and child care. This is typically referred to as Primary Prevention. The INSURER will collaborate with the Department of Health and provide for a preventive medicine program with primary emphasis on the provision of clinical services in support of the Preventive Medicine Program, including but not limited to, screening and education of individual patients, such as PAP Smears, colorectal screening mammograms and cholesterol screening as indicated by the best practices of medicine. In cooperation with the INSURER, the Department of Health will develop a surveillance methodology to identify compliance with this program.
