Common use of Position Upgrade Clause in Contracts

Position Upgrade. Unit employees whose position is upgraded shall receive a wage increase of the difference between the two starting rates, but no less than the starting rate of the higher paying position. In the event there is no current starting wage for a position, the employer will promote the incumbent employee with an increase of $1.00 per hour until such time as a wage increase and starting rate has been negotiated.
