Position Assignment Process. (a) A Department or Supervisor may establish reasonable prerequisites which an employee must meet in order to work in a particular course or job and determine whether those prerequisites have been met before the employee becomes eligible to work in the course. (b) Academic standing shall not be used as the sole criterion for selection of candidates for positions. The candidates' competence, experience and ability to perform the duties of the position shall also be taken into consideration.
