Assignment of Work. (a) The parties agree that it is essential to ensure that all employees be advised of their job expectations, duties and responsibilities.

While vessels are in normal lay-up status at the Eagle Harbor Facility and/or while a vessel is in normal lay-up at any other terminal for purposes other than the vessels’ operational tie-up, all work requisitions submitted by the Staff Chief Engineer will be performed by craft personnel. This is not intended to allow Staff Chief Engineers, during normal lay-up status, to withhold work requisitions to enable vessel crew members to perform rehabilitation work normally done by craft employees.

Assignment of Work. 94. Work load shall be equitably distributed among all employees of the work unit, including those covered by this CBA plus State and Federal employees of comparable class. In reference to class 2806, work distribution includes, but is not limited to, epidemiologic interviews, contact follow up and patient screening as long as the application of this Article shall not interfere with proper epidemiologic practices.

The parties will agree on a process to address, without restarting the sign-up, the interests of operators who were affected by the error. Failing agreement on this process, the issue will be referred to an agreed third party for a binding decision. This decision shall be rendered before the sheets are put into effect.
