Plus Rating. Section 20.1. When an employee is required by the Employer to perform the work of a higher classification, he/she shall receive an increase in rate of pay for the higher classification if he/she performs said work for at least seven (7) consecutive working days. The base rate of pay of the higher classification shall commence with the seventh (7th) working day and shall be retroactive to and including the first day worked in that capacity. Section 20.2. An employee may be temporarily assigned work in a lower classification but shall continue to receive his/her regular rate of pay during such assignment. This Section is not intended to cover an employee who is demoted.
