Common use of PERSONNEL FOLDER Clause in Contracts

PERSONNEL FOLDER. 1. All material in the personnel folder, excepting letters of recommendation, which will be removed in the presence of the teacher, shall be open to the scrutiny of the teacher. 2. The teacher shall have the privilege and right to submit a written reply to any material in his/her personnel folder. His/her answer shall be reviewed by the Superintendent, then attached to the appropriate material and placed in the folder. In the event that the teacher questions the factual accuracy of any material in the folder, the teacher may submit proof supporting his or her position. The material will not be placed in the file if it is proven to be factually inaccurate. 3. No material in the teacher’s personnel folder will be shown to anyone outside the District Administrators or to the Board, without the express written consent of the individual teacher involved.
