Common use of Payment for Working on a Holiday Clause in Contracts

Payment for Working on a Holiday. The following provision will appear in all Part-Time Collective Agreements replacing any provision related to Payment on a Holiday, and will be effective for holidays falling on or after September 20, 1990. The holidays listed in the part-time ol cal Appendix for the purposes of Article 16.01 shall be the same holidays as are listed in the full-time local Appendix. "If an employee is required to work on any of the holidays set out in the local Appendix the employee shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) her straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday."
