Common use of Pay Warrant Errors Clause in Contracts

Pay Warrant Errors. If an employee observes an error on his or her check, they should report it immediately to Human Resources. If it is determined that an improper deduction has occurred or an error has been made, the employee will be promptly reimbursed for any improper deductions. Payment errors shall be made retroactive for a maximum of two years immediately preceding discovery of the payment error. When CCCERA notifies an employee of an overpayment and a proposed repayment schedule, the employee may accept the proposed repayment schedule or may request a meeting through Human Resources. If requested, a meeting shall be held to determine a repayment schedule that shall be no longer than one and one-half times the length of time the overpayment occurred.
