Common use of Partial Redundancy Clause in Contracts

Partial Redundancy. 4.4.7.1 Where, as a result of reduction in funding, part of the employee’s position is made redundant and the portion of redundancy is greater than 25% of the contracted hours of employment, the employee will be made redundant in accordance with the provisions of this Clause, unless the employee otherwise accepts the new reduced hours of employment. Where an employee accepts the new reduced hours of employment no redundancy payment will be made. 4.4.7.2 Where as a result of reduction in funding, the employee’s position is made redundant and the portion of redundancy is less than 25% of the contracted hours of employment, the employee will reduce their hours of employment accordingly and no redundancy payment will apply.
