Partial Redundancy. If the academic priorities of the University no longer warrant the continuation of a particular program, in whole or in part, whether for financial or academic reasons:
Partial Redundancy. 4.4.7.1 Where, as a result of reduction in funding, part of the employee’s position is made redundant and the portion of redundancy is greater than 25% of the contracted hours of employment, the employee will be made redundant in accordance with the provisions of this Clause, unless the employee otherwise accepts the new reduced hours of employment. Where an employee accepts the new reduced hours of employment no redundancy payment will be made.

(c) Where partial redundancy is accepted by an Employee a pro-rata compensatory redundancy payment in accordance with clause 23.7 will be provided to the Employee at the date when the partial redundancy takes effect.
