Overtime - Shift Workers. For all work outside the ordinary hours, or in excess of the normal duration of the employee's shift, overtime shall be paid to a shift worker at the rate of double time, except in cases where such time is worked by arrangement between the employees themselves. Provided that: a) Where an employee is given notice to work on their rostered day off and the notice is cancelled within sixteen hours of the time due to the employee to commence, the employee shall be paid four hours' ordinary pay. b) Where an employee is given notice to work the succeeding shift and the notice is cancelled, and as a consequence of the notice the employee has remained on the premises until the prescribed starting time, the employee shall be paid four hours' ordinary pay.
