Common use of Off-Site Traffic Work Clause in Contracts

Off-Site Traffic Work. As recommended by RFA’s traffic impact study RFA shall during Phase II (i) provide at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Righters Ferry Road East: signal timing optimization and phasing modifications including an advance left-turn phase (e.g. a green arrow) along Belmont Avenue with corresponding right-turn overlap phasing along Righters Ferry Road and (ii) provide signal timing modifications at the intersection of Monument Road and Presidential Boulevard. In addition, RFA shall, if and as required by paragraph 5.s below, provide a traffic signal at the intersection of Righters Ferry Road and Monument Road subject to the signal being warranted as described below. Further, RFA shall (yiii) apply for and obtain the necessary permits and approvals required to stripe separate right and left turn lanes on Righters Ferry Road for vehicles approaching the intersection from the west as generally shown on the sketch attached as Exhibit “10A” and perform such work upon obtaining such approvals and permits and (ziv) provide signal phasing as generally shown on the sketch attached as Exhibit “10B.” The improvements described in this paragraph shall be referred to collectively as the “Off-Site Traffic Improvements”.
